ForecastStyle (“we”, “us”, or “our”) is committed to being transparent about how we handle data. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how we use it.

What Data We Collect

We collect the minimum data necessary to operate the service:

• Usage analytics via Vercel Analytics: page views, device type (mobile/desktop), and country. This data is aggregated and anonymized — no personal identifiers are collected. Vercel Analytics does not use cookies.
• Temperature preference (°F or °C) stored in your browser's localStorage. This data never leaves your device and is used only to remember your display preference.
• Location data you voluntarily enter in the search form (city name and coordinates). This is used solely to fetch weather data and outfit recommendations for your search. We do not store your location searches.

We do not collect your name, email address, IP address, or any other personal data. We do not require account registration. We do not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies.

How We Use Your Data

• To display weather-appropriate outfit recommendations for your searched location
• To understand aggregate site usage and improve the service
• To remember your temperature unit preference between visits

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate ForecastStyle:

• Vercel — hosting and analytics (privacy-first, no cookies)
• Supabase — database for outfit and weather profile data
• Open-Meteo — weather forecast API (your city coordinates are sent to fetch weather)
• Google — location autocomplete (your search input is sent to resolve city coordinates)
• Affiliate networks (Amazon Associates, Awin, Impact, Rakuten) — when you click a product link, the retailer's site may set its own cookies per their privacy policy

Each of these services has its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review them if you have concerns.

Affiliate Disclosure

ForecastStyle participates in affiliate advertising programs. When you click on a product link and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. This helps keep ForecastStyle free. Our outfit recommendations are not influenced by affiliate relationships — we link to products we genuinely believe are good choices for each look.

Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)

Because we collect no personal data, most GDPR and CCPA rights are satisfied by default — there is nothing to access, correct, or delete. If you have questions about data held by third-party services we use, please contact those services directly.
